Soft Stitch is a small handmade crochet studio. This is how it started, and why we still do everything by hand.
It started with a gift
The first Soft Stitch piece was never meant to be sold. It was a granny square shawl, made over a winter of evenings, for someone who needed a hug she could wear. She wore it every day. Then a friend asked for one. Then a cousin. Then a stranger on Instagram.
Somewhere along the way, the kitchen table became a studio, the one wooden hook became a jar of them, and Soft Stitch became a name — a promise that whatever we make will feel soft, look beautiful and carry a little of the love that went into it.

Slow on purpose
Every piece is worked by hand from start to finish. We choose stitches for how they feel as much as how they look — tight single crochet for tops that hold their shape, airy granny squares for blankets that breathe, picot borders because they're cute.
Yarns are picked for softness first: cottons for summer pieces, cotton-acrylic blends for blankets that need to survive real life. And colors? Pretty pastels, warm earth tones, and anything you can dream up.
- Sketch
Every design starts on paper, then as a small swatch to test the stitch and yarn.
- Stitch
Hours (sometimes days) of quiet, careful crochet. A throw blanket takes about 40.
- Finish
Weaving ends, blocking, joining squares, tying tassels — the details that make it heirloom.
- Wrap
Tissue, twine, a handwritten note. Then off to you.
Keep it soft for years
Washing
Hand wash cold with a gentle detergent. Squeeze out water — never wring — and lay flat to dry, reshaping while damp.
Storing
Fold, don't hang. Hanging stretches stitches over time. Keep away from direct sun to protect colors.
Tops sizing
XS 30–32" · S 32–34" · M 34–36" · L 36–38" · XL 38–41" bust. Tie-strap styles adjust to you — when in doubt, size down.
Little snag?
Don't cut it. Gently pull the loop to the inside with a hook or pin. If anything feels off, message us — we'll help.
